4. Reviews

A method of allowing friendly and professional reviews is something we have invested a lot of time and effort into.

We have implemented a points system, which successfully maintains the balance between new poems and reviews on existing poems. By rewarding members with credits for reviews given, the site is rich with advice and feedback on every poem posted.

After you receive a review, you will be asked to respond to it and give your feedback e.g. Was the review amicable? Did you feel it was accurate? This helps us ensure the community remains friendly and constructive.

You will also build up "Quills" and "Judge Points" based on the reviews you have received and the reviews given. This helps to show your status within the community and you will be recognised by different colour schemes when you reach milestones.

For the more serious poet, we offer an exclusive Scribes' Sanctuary where selected members can review each others poetry. The standard of the Scribes' Sanctuary is maintained by only allowing members who have a proven record of good reviewing to participate.

Our review system is regularly tweaked and improved, mostly based on the feedback from our community.
