What are the rankings?
Both the poets and the reviewers rankings are as follows:
Green - up to 499
Purple - from 500 to 1249
Bronze - from 1250 to 2999
Silver - from 3000 to 9999
Gold - from 10000 to 14999

Why are there rankings?
The rankings are there purely to show the experience of the reviewer and/or poet. They are NOT accompanied by any awards.
Why do some people have a scroll next to their name?
The scroll shows that that particular poet has written a poem in each of the styles listed in the poetic library.
What is a mentor?
A mentor is someone allocated to help anyone who asks. They are there purely to encourage and explain the various poetic forms and how they work, someone to help new, young and/or inexperienced poets to learn or improve their craft.
How do I make contact with a mentor?
If you didn't opt to work with a mentor when you filled in the registration form please contact the admin team - they will be happy to help you.
Why is there a shop with little or no product?
The shop is there because we are planning for future. Quills are currently available from the shop. At a later date there WILL be more product. Keep your eyes open for news as and when it happens.
Why can't I see my poems on the latest additions list?
To encourage poets to review other people we chose not to make your poems viewable to you on the list. They ARE there but viewable by the other poets.
How many poems do I need to review to earn a credit?
You will receive a poem credit when you have reviewed seven poems.
How long will my poem be on the new additions list?
Your poem will stay on the new additions list until it has received seven reviews. Then it will be accessible from your page.
Why can't I post a poem?
There are two possible reasons for this. You need to have available poem credits to post/write a poem. Also you need to respond to any reviews on your poetry that are outstanding. Earn more credits by inviting a friend or reviewing other poems.
How many poems can I post per day?
Providing you have the credits and have responded to previous reviews of your poetry you can post FIVE poems per day.
How can I find examples of a particular style of poetry?
Enter the poetry form into the search box - you'll see a list of poems written in that style.
How safe are my poems?
Sadly, there are some people in the world who would steal the words of another. We can help only in that, should the need arise, we can clarify when your poem was created - Our systems keep a record of the date and time a poem is posted. Thus stamping a "site" creation. The safest way to protect your poems is to copyright them. Email them to yourself, when you have written them - then keep the email (safe). Alternatively, use the print button in the format box, make a hard copy, seal in an envelope and post it to yourself - remember NOT to open it. At the same time, we believe our poets to be honest and trustworthy. Anyone who posts words that are not theirs or uses other poets words without prior consent will be removed from the site immediately.
Do I HAVE to review?
Nobody is forced to review. However, it is only common curtesy to return the compliment of being reviewed. Poets take a lot of time and thought to write reviews - good manners will dictate that to review them in return is only fair.
How do we know who the junior members are?
The junior members have an icon by their name - a face with a bonnet and dummy/pacifier.
What is the 'seal' for next to some poet's names?
The seal is the sign of a valued reviewer. There are two colours - red and gold. The seal is earned on the quality of reviews given over the preceeding seven days.
What are the inkpots that some poets have?
The inkpots are there to show what stage that poet has reached toward Rainbow rank. Twelve inkpots are needed for each stage. Each inkpot is worth 4 000 points - so each stage of the rainbow is 48 000 points. To earn a 'rainbow bar' the poet will need a total of 351 000 points.
